Parents of all children who wish to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation are requested to attend the initial meeting in the fall to hear about the sacramental preparation process and learn how to guide & accompany their children along the way. Confirmation 2012 – Saturday June 2nd 2:00 pm
Holy Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m.; Candidates will be Confirmed during Holy Mass by Monsignor Edward Sheridan of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Waterloo. Photos and refreshents to follow in the Parish Centre after the celebration.
Remaining Preparation Schedule:
Sunday May 27th @ 6:00 pm – Sacrament of Reconciliation for Candidates and Parents followed by Holy Mass; Sponsors encouraged to participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation as well if possible
Monday May 28th 6:30 pm – Rehearsal for Candidates and Sponsors; please invite your sponsor to make every effort to attend the rehearsal if they are able.

A week before the Confirmation Liturgy: Fr. Piotr will be visiting the schools to visit with the students and to review & ask some questions based on the booklet that was handed out early in the program. Candidates should be reviewing the booklet regularly to learn the material and incorporate it into their faith development.

What is the appropriate style of clothing for Confirmation Day?
A red confirmation gown will be worn by all candidates.
Young Men: suggestion is dress pants and appropriate (dress) shirt, with or without ties (in other words, appropriate wear for a special occasion)
Young women: skirts/dresses, appropriately above the knee; please be mindful of avoiding short lengths which will result in fully bare legs below the confirmation gown; as similar to school guidelines, appropriate level of modesty (please no excessive bare arms and shoulders); questions? ed.macintosh@wcdsb.ca
Contributions: families are invited to consider a donation to help offset the cost the program facilitated throughout the year. Please use the envelopes on the back table or in the pew during preparation meetings. If you wish a tax receipt, please write your name & address. Thank you for you contributions.
Community Service hours are available to our students for helping out at the many parish events ie. “MISSION: POSSIBLE!” Education Cafe Seminars, Vacation Bible School and more. Please contact the parish office.
