The Catholic Women’s League is a national organization rooted in Gospel values, calling its members to holiness through service. The League regularly provides prayer service and honour guard for deceased members, funeral lunches, assists with the lending library operation, provides flowers to shut-ins and many other means of service. We also provide support for missions, hold our hugely successful annual card party in November, host an annual bake sale, a winter tea, as well as our highly anticipated and attended Communion brunch.  Of special note are the Holy Masses we celebrate at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo, for our deceased parishioners, and annually with the Carmelite Nuns at The Carmel of St. Joseph, St. Agatha.  We invite you to join us and serve God and country with your participation.  The Catholic Women’s League is open to women over 16 years of age.

St. Vincent de Paul Society

An inspiring reflection delivered at the September meeting of the St. Vincent de Paul: Excerpt from Homily of Pope Francis July 3rd 2013

St. Agnes has a conference (organization) of the worldwide Society of St. Vincent de Paul as do almost all K-W Roman Catholic churches.

Each conference is responsible for looking after the needy in the general geographic boundaries of its church. They are supported largely by donations from parishioners.

St. Agnes asks for contributions after liturgies on the last weekend of each month.

Do you,or someone you know, need assistance?

People needing emergency food should call the parish office during normal business hours and a message will be passed to a Vincentian volunteer who will deliver the food to the residence.  Special needs such as the payment of utility bills are assessed on an individual basis.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Hand knit shawls & blankets, blessed, and ready to provide comfort, encouragement & the confidence that God’s love is wrapped around us always, especially in time of need.

Special event coming up on May 29th: Prayer Shawl Ministry Gathering & Reflection, click here to learn more.

Our mission combines the sharing of talents and love of God in service to others in a tangible way that can touch the heart and warm the body of the receiver. The knitter/crocheter prays from beginning to end of each shawl, for a recipient, whether known or unknown.  Prayers are with intention that this shawl will spread the message of God’s love, mercy and compassion. Prayer shawls are Blessed by our pastor, Father Piotr during a Holy Mass before they are given to anyone who may be in need of comfort and/or solace. The needs vary from illness to celebration and joy, from birth to death–and any occasion where someone could be touched by, and encouraged by someone’s caring, and the power of prayer. For more information or to arrange a prayer shawl for someone you know who would benefit by receiving one, please contact:
